TOPIC: Google Licenses

Hi Daniel,

Still on this Google Licensing issue! I really don't think we are going to get anywhere with it as the API license for using Google in a private setting is €8,000! Way too much for the simple project we want to build.

I have had another idea though

I was looking at other Mapping providers, namely ArcGIS. They offer a Developer account with full API access that is very similar to that of the Google API. However the cost for a Developer account from ArcGIS is substantially less. Anyway, I was wondering how easy or hard it would be to use the ArcGIS API together with your Joomla! Extension. Would it just be a matter of replacing the call for the Google maps and js files to that of ArcGIS?

Hey Glenn,
My goal is in the future to add support for different map providers: bing, openstreetmap, arcGis etc. This is however a big task. And If you want to hire us to that -> it will for sure cost around 8000€ and it will require more than a month of work...
