TOPIC: install error file missing for Joomla 2.5.28

I just downloaded the CComment 5.3.5 file package and tried to install it but it is NOT installing on Joomla 2.5.28 !
The error states it is missing the installation file.
Is there another link on your website I can use to download the file or is it just not working on this Joomla version?
FYI There are various pages giving a 404 on your site most important the demo page.

Try this one:

5.3.5 is no longer tested on 2.5 and I made it so that it won't install on j2.5

As far the demo page is concerned - I had forgotten to update to 5.3.5 - it has some compatibility fixes for the latest hotsptos version and that is why the demo page was not working as it should on some pages.

I did actually use 5.3.4 before and now again the same file but its still not installing.

Hm, okay. Let me test then.

So, what I told you is not correct. I actaully haven't disabled the installation on 2.5 and I was able to install the latest package on 5.3.5.

So most probably you are running into upload issues. Would you try installing directly from url? Just copy the directdownload link (below the big download links: compojoom.com/downloads/official-release...mment/ccomment-5-3-5 ) and paste it in your joomla backend and hit install from url.
