TOPIC: Read on error???

Joomla 1.5.15

unsure if this is a bug or setting error but the problem I am having is read on will not show on long text. I read this from your setting page (Show only if "Read On" parameter of the calling menu link (in joomla admin Menu->) my article is set to show and also show links for registered users in global.
I even turned all these setting to NO and the full text will not show, am I missing something

it doesn't have anything to do with the length of the text, but with the readon button in the editor. Have you set a readon when you wrote your long article?

OK, I understand that.

No, I never added a read more. So that is not the problem.
A comment has been added and is a lot longer than displayed it will not show on the article. What have I missed.

I didn't understand you right. I thought that you speak about the readon button. Go to settings security and you will find the length settings for the length of the post Set a bigger value there and you should be fine.
