TOPIC: Comments not automatically posting

OK, I downloaded the RC1, purchased and installed the myblog plugin and all thats working now. The problem I'm now having is that comments are not automatically posting when I have it set to automatically post.

This is the message after posting:

Your comment has been queued for moderation by site administrators and will be published after approval.

Any ideas on what this could be?

Is it possible that akismet takes the comments for spam?

Is that what akismet is supposed to do? I thought it provided captcha support? LOL If not, I'll turn that beast off.

recaptcha provides captcha support. Akismet is a service that analyses the content of the message and determines on the base of algorithms if the message is spam or not.

The problem with it is that most of the time messages that contain only links or just a single word are marked as spam. (but on the other hand it is a great tool - currently some spam bots are passing by the captcha of the component, but in 99% akismet finds out that the messages are spam and doesn't publish them)

Thanks for the clarification on that! I'll turn it off and see how she does. We don't have that popular of a blog yet so I'll keep that in mind if the spam starts heading up.

Are there any plans to ad Recaptcha? We've had really good luck with that on jomcomment.

recaptcha is cool. We have it already on 4.1, but there are a lot of things to fix for this release. Perhaps before your blog gets popular we will release the version with recaptcha
