TOPIC: Export Compojoom comments to JomComment possible?

Hi Daniel,

I keep receiving messages from members that they cannot comment immediately. In that case I have to make the decision to choose another component for the comment system. I would like to know if it is possible to export CompojoomComment to JomComment, because JomComment says that they can import from JoomlaComment! and your website says CompojoomComment is the new JoomlaComment! system.

I really like your component and don't like to leave, but I don't want my visitors to get frustrated because the comment doesn't publish right away.

As far as I have understood the progress etc for Compojoom, the name change was mainly to signify the change from the RC type of stages to the grown-up stable release.
So yes, the name is now CompojoomComment.

The previous JoomlaComment 4.0 and a prior version is still available for download, but are not supported.

It sounds like you have probably the Security (see second Tab) Settings from Autopublish comments: at the backend set to "No".
If you set this to "Yes", it should autopublish entries made.

JomComment should be able to import the comments from CompojoomComment - at the end that are the same tables as for joomlacomment.
I hate to see you leave ( knowing how much time I've spent helping you to move to compojoomComment), but it is your decision If I can help you in any way with the move to jomSocial, don't hesitate to contact me.

yes, you really helped me out there. I really didn't want to leave, because the outlook of compojoom, and the emoticons and just everything I liked a lot. But my members had some problems with saving their post, so I had to go and find a solution.
But I will recommend your component to anybody. It is great and looks fantastic, and it is easy to adjust. The comments of compojoom are now imported, jomcomment helped me out. But thanks that you offered to help anyway.
