TOPIC: Formatting issue changing ' to /

Hi Guys,

Tried searching but can't find anything similar posted on here. When someone leaves a comment with a apostrophe such as "I'd" if gets changed to "I/'d". It's putting "/" in there for some reason.

I'm using the latest release of the software Pro 5.0.7

Can I ask if anyone has seen anything similar or know of a fix?

In the backend, go to system -> system information -> php settings. What is the value for magic quotes? It should be off and not on.

You were right, that has sorted the problem. It took me a little while to work out how to get the server to finally disable the Magic Quotes but it has solved the problem .
