TOPIC: Infinite loop detected in JError

Hi I just installed the Compojoom Comment software, which is very powerful (i'm impressed with that), however I am getting these errors often now:

Infinite loop detected in JError


What is causing this?


I'm using Joomla 1.7.3

Are you sure that those errors are related to CompojoomComment? I've seen such errors when the config file didn't have the right connection params for the database, but since your website is running I don't think this is the same problem.

Any plans to update to Joomla 2.5? You know that the joomla project doesn't support 1.7 anymore?

Hi Daniel, I think you are probably right. I haven't noticed this issue since yesterday. So perhaps it had nothing to do with the software.

By the way, I am impressed by the features that come with this commenting software. I believe your software is the best solution out there for Joomla, so please don't change that!

Perhaps I should start a new post for this question, but I was curious if it's possible to use two instances of this software on the same website? Or can I have two different templates for article comments on the same site?

Basically I would like to use one template for one article category and a different template for another article category. Is this possible?

Thank you for the kind words. Sometime I forget that we already have a lot of features and I always think about the missing one

About the different layout question: nope unfortunately this is not possible. You can use different templates per component, but for a single component you are stuck with the same template. In the past I had plans to add such a feature but it was making everything more and more complicated so I gave up on it.
