Hi

I have a site with JComments and I would like to migrate it to 1.7. Is there any way to import it from CompoJoom?.

Regards

The best thing to do would be to install compojoomcomment on your 1.5 site. Do the import. Use the jupgrade extension and it will migrate the comment tables as well. Install ccomment on the new site and you are ready for action :)

Cheers,
Daniel

I'm trying to import, but I can't.

- I have installed Compo joom comments
- go to import and then I have to mapping manually.
- Import from table, i select jos_jcomments
- In Commented component value I select "com_content".
- Not sure about Commented component column and ID from the column.

Any help?.

Hey Santiago,
commented component column is only if you are using jcomment with other component (docman or eventlist) - if you are not, then you don't need to worry about it.

ID - this is basically the id of the comment. Hey if you have troubles mapping the tables start a private ticket and provide me with backend access to your site and I'll do it for you.

Kind regards,
Daniel
