Hi,
I am just building up a new website, almost no content yet, only two articles in order to see how compojoom works. Everything is fine. But.
When I go to Community Builder's personal profile page I have a tab "User Comments", that comes always first, no matter how I arrange the tabs, but the second thing is more serious:
# CB_COMPOJOOMCOMMENT_TITLE CB_COMPOJOOMCOMMENT_COMMENT CB_COMPO
That is what the tab shows. There has been no comment so far, so the field should be empty. How can I solve this?
Best wishes
Dirk

Hi Dirk,
When you go to administrator/langauge/en-GB/ can you find a file called en-GB.plg_cbusercomments.ini ?

What is the content of this file? is it this here:
CB_COMPOJOOMCOMMENT_TITLE="Title"
CB_COMPOJOOMCOMMENT_COMMENT="Comment"
CB_COMPOJOOMCOMMENT_DATE="Date"
CB_COMPOJOOMCOMMENT_NO_TITLE="No title"
CB_COMPOJOOMCOMMENT_NO_COMMENTS="Wow, a shy user! He hasn't left any comments!"

Daniel

OK, is the translation file in place? It seems that your translation file is missing...

Well, there is one "en-GB.com_comment.ini" and a "en-GB.mod_comments.ini" in the language/en-EN/ directory, are there more?

That is strange. Most probably something went wrong during installation.
Create a new file called en-GB.plg_cbusercomments.ini place it in:
administrator/langauge/en-GB/ and add this to it.
CB_COMPOJOOMCOMMENT_TITLE="Title"
CB_COMPOJOOMCOMMENT_COMMENT="Comment"
CB_COMPOJOOMCOMMENT_DATE="Date"
CB_COMPOJOOMCOMMENT_NO_TITLE="No title"
CB_COMPOJOOMCOMMENT_NO_COMMENTS="Wow, a shy user! He hasn't left any comments!"

Then it should automatically pick the language file and use those strings.

Ah wait - is the site in german??? If it is in german, then create de-DE.com_cb... file and place it in the de-DE folder in language.

Cheers,
Daniel

Sorry, the file is already there... hm ...
The site is in English.
I attach a file you may find useful for German customers.

OK, so in this case I'm clueless at the moment :)
Can you start a private ticket and provide me with a link to the page where this occurs + backend + ftp access?

Regards,
Daniel

P.S. Thanks for the translation! Don't you wish to become a translator??? opentranslators.transifex.net/projects/p.../plg_cbusercomments/ :)

Here is a little more info about translators:

So I had a look at your site. I've enabled the system debug and language debug (they are now turned off) and at the bottom of the site there was this:
JROOT/language/en-GB/en-GB.plg_cbusercomments.ini : error(s) in line(s) 1, 2, 3, 4

The problem is - most probably you have an old language file - the language file for joomla 2.5 needs to have the quotes aroudn the translation "translation comes heee" and you don't have them. that is why it doesn't work.

Just replace the content of the file with the translation I have posted above and it should work. (or download the english source file from transifex)

Cheers,
Daniel

Hi Daniel,
I uploaded the new language file and now everything is fine! Thank you very much for helping! I would never have guessed that I was using an outdated language file, it was a brand new installation of the latest Joomla and CB versions...
Anyway I am happy now, thank again.
Best wishes
Dirk
