TOPIC: Add new button is not working

Just bought this great component, but I have a small problem that I hope someone can help me solve.

As the subject say the Add new button is not working. Everything else seems to be working

I just tried another article and when I click on the add new link nothing is happening.
I have got 2 email today from people that experience the same thing.

I'm using Firefox 3.6 on a Mac, but I can't tell you which browser they are using.

This is the message I received from one of them:
I tried to add a comment, but the page didn't respond when I click on ""add new".

I probably explained it wrong, but when I click on write comment link this is opening up a comments box.
Can there be something wrong with the JQModern- emotop template, because when I changed to modern template the Add new was working and I have got it confirmed from one of them that complained.

Probably some other conflict on my site that is causing this.

Now I understand what you mean
When you go under layout -> is include additional libraries turned to yes???
If you use the jq templates the jquery framework have to be loaded separately - this is what the above options does.
If you go to other templates such as MT or the default one you don't need to load anything, because joomla has mootools preloaded per default.

This setting was set to yes, so there must be some other conflict on my site that is causing this with the JQModern- emotop template

I'm going to use modern template since this one is not causing any conflicts for my readers/members

If you get any chance to find out on which page it is not working I would love to look at the problem

I don't know if this error message I just found in Firebug has something to do with it

Ok, it is definetly a conflict with jquery then. You know this jquery template is there only to prove the concept - you can use jquery, mootols, plain javascript with our component. In general it is a bad idea to use the jquery template because it creates unnecessary overhead and you see - sometimes there are problems with other libraries...
