TOPIC: Why are not changes in translation working?

Hi!

I am editing the Swedish language file: sv-SE.com_matukio.ini. I make changes in the file (I use the component eXtplorer) and save the file. But when I refresh the page, nothing changes. I have set the file to CHMOD777.

For example: I have translated the lines "Free Events" and "Paid Events" in the swedish file, but it' still in english on the frontpage.

Hi Ola,

sure you translated the correct file? Some translations exist multiple times - like free events (in some slightly different spellings) -> It's COM_MATUKIO_FREE_EVENTS, COM_MATUKIO_FREE_EVENT and COM_MATUKIO_FREE

P.S.: You should really use language overrides instead of changing the file.. Much easier and works with updates:

I think it is the right file.

For example: In the file sv-SE.com_matukio.ini I have made this translation: COM_MATUKIO_EVENTS_THIS_MONTH="Cuper denna månad". I have saved the file but on the frontpage (the filter) I get the text Events this month (instead of Cuper denna månad). How come?

I tried to use Overrides. But when I make a seach on ; COM_MATUKIO and Key in the language manager - I only get about 20 results. Shouldn't it be ALL strings that begins with COM_MATUKIO? That is more than 100.

Hi!

I am now using the override function - and can translate most of it.

But there are some words that seems impossible to find.

- cupregistret.se/index.php/cuper
- Free Event on the summary , right of the "star"-icon
- Event Details - on the blue button
- Events - the title of the left column
- Dates - on the menu on the left

I have spent some hours on finding this. I would be happy for the right string - "COM_MATUKIO....."
