TOPIC: Update to 6.0.16 kind of fails

I updated Matukio today through Joomla updates, and got a failure message (attached). Oddly, the versions displayed in the failure message, and the version displayed in the Matukio component now show the current version of 6.0.16.

Please advise.

And after the update the frontend is not working anymore! (see attachement)

I would suggest Uninstalling it, and then reinstalling a previous version.
Preferably the one preceeding this.

After upgrading, my front-end continues to work - despite the upgrade issue I originally reported above.

Same problem for me

Just redownload the 6.0.16 package, that was fixed 2 hours after release :/ There was an error in the sql query Allen posted. Should work now.

Since my first upgrade attempt only "kind of failed", the version number indeed updated, despite the SQL errors. Do I need to re-update? If so, how? Matukio thinks it is at the latest version.

For a re-update: Personally I would download the package, open it, upload to the TMP folder and install from there.

That is indeed a straightforward approach. However, I have experienced situations in the past where a developer's update package will work as an update, but a full install package won't. Kind of like re-installing a complete VM package over an existing installation - seriously dangerous.

Well, I just did a trial fresh install with the package available here... no problems.
I know, that's not quite the same as installing OVER an existing installation... but it at least confirms the package works.

UPDATE:
Just did another install, OVER an existing installation (not the same server or site as previously), and it worked. All data was kept.
But FTP method does not seem to work for me... might be a browser issue.

Since Matukio seems to be working okay for now, I'll wait for Yves' feedback. Then we will know for sure.

Sorry, currently ill.. (since 2 weeks..) Takes some time..

It's never an issue installing the version over again (no uninstallation etc.), just noraml installation over the installer.

This would fix eventual db issues which were not executed completely.

But when everything is working you can also just stay at 6.0.16.. there will be a 6.0.17 in the next weeks
