TOPIC: RSS problem. Can you help please.

The RSS button on the comment section was not working and showed the following error when clicked:

Warning: fopen(/web/guide/infinityassociates/public_html/components/com_comment/joscfeed.xml) [function.fopen]: failed to open stream: Permission denied in/web/guide/infinityassociates/public_html/libraries/bitfolge/feedcreator.php on line 863

The xml file above was not uploaded during installation so i uploaded it manually and now the RSS is showing the RSS page except its not syndicating the comments and showing me
the original (turkish XML file) instead. Screenshot attached.

Any ideas on how i can fix this.

make joscfeed writable permissions (775) - delete the content in it and it should start to work.

Thanks for the reply but unfortnately it didn't work. Whatever i remove from the xml file is simply removed from the RSS page and the new content (comments) does not replace it.

Any other ideas? I'm a bit lame when it comes to RSS

If i reinstall the whole thing do you think this will solve it

Managed to get it working, have no idea how. I insatlled some other commenting systems and then uninstalled them and it started to work.
