Joomla Components and Professional Joomla Templates

I uninstalled joomla comment without ticking Unistall complete mode. But now when i try to reinstall I cannot. I get 2 errors:

* Component Install: Another Component is already using directory: "/home/username/public_html/components/com_comment"
* Component Install: Another Component is already using directory: "/home/username/public_html/administrator/components/com_comment"

What should I do I need to delete in order to re-install?

This is a common error with Joomla, it happens randomly and is very strange. It just means the old extension wasn't uninstalled fully, its a fail-safe security thing for Joomla.

Login via your FTP and delete the folders...

...or alternatively, if your host has cPanel or another similar administration interface, you can login there and use the File Manager to browse there and delete the two "com_comment" folders.

After doing that, you can reinstall JoComment. This tip will also help in future, as it can happen with pretty much any extension

if you cannot see the folders through ftp, then ask your host support for help with deleting them from the system.
