Joomla Backend Mastery - FREE webinar - find out more here.

Some improvements :)

While working on beta1 I decided, that it is time to add a feature that several people requested.

Here is a screenshot:

What is new here you will ask me? Don't you see it? "Comments (3)" The number of comments now also shows in the post itself.

There was a small security hole in the comment system, that I fixed this week.(also included in beta1) It was possible for anonymous user to post comments even if the only registered option was turned to on.

I have still to work on the RSS function(maybe even finally move it to the plugins - this way every plugin - even for docman would be able to generate RSS).

If you are interested to see what others are writing about joomlacomment I found this review here (based on 3.26): !Joomlacomment by compojoom

If you have any suggestion, tips or anything you wish to share, please use the comment form or write in the forum.

P.S. I'm also working on improving the captcha image(improving means - making it worse :)), so don't wonder if the captcha in the comment form looks a little bit ugly - I just try to find the right balance between readability and killing the spam bots :)

P.S.1 I forgot something very important I'm working on - video tutorials! :) Everything will be released with beta1 :)

Is it possible to show the comments as default rather than a link "Comments" which must be clicked to see the comments. Like on infowars.com?

I don't get your example on infowars.com - they show the comments in exactly the same way - you have to open the article to see them.

    avatar

    JoomlaComment! is a wonderfull component!
    Very compliment to the autors.

So, is it possible to set the "notify option" in default to "notify"?

May you make this as a settable parameter in the newster version of component?

    Tank you.

    Nello
